Genuine citizenship

“...if only the council would clean the lake, forbid the factories over there pouring their sewage into the water and do something to help save our homes from being inundated and wet, the beautiful rare birds would return and stand on the island... like that bird there. There are less birds now...The guards who protect the lake sell entry to bird hunters who would sell to retailers….Look over there! the 12-year-old Syrian countryside boy shouted excitedly. That small historic building could be a perfect meeting place for important people. I wish we got the chance to build a small cafeteria beside this building where I can work with other boys from the village. Our village will grow!”
