Roudaina is Rapporteur and Moderator at 15 World Conference Cities and Ports Crossovers - Rotterdam


Only a few days are left to the conference! Roudaina looks very much forward to chairing Topic 4 of the 15th World Conference Cities and Ports on HOW CAN JOINED URBAN AND PORT PLANNING FACILITATE THE NEXT ECONOMY - FLEXIBLE FRAMEWORKS OF PORT AND CITY? This planning issue will be discussed at the regional and urban levels with focus on sustainability during the sessions of the 5th and 6th of October through presentations by leading professionals and academics, panel debates, a site visit and a discussion Lab. Together with her colleague from the City of Rotterdam, Senior Urban Planner Walter de Vries, Roudaina is Rapporteur and Moderator for the Topic on Joint Planning Strategies. Discussions and valuable insights discussed and generated in the sessions and the Lab will feed into a Synthesis on lessons and actions for the future that Roudaina and Walter will present on the 7th of October in parallel with other sessions' outcomes.

The conference takes up 5 other key topics:

HOW CAN CROSSOVERS BETWEEN CITIES AND PORTS ENHANCE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY? STIMULATE INNOVATIVE BUSINESS CLIMATE? and ALLOW THE CREATION OF RESILIENT PORTS CITIES.

HOW CAN WE USE SMART TECHNOLOGIES FOR GREEN LOGISTICS AND INDUSTRIES IN PORT AND CITY?

HOW CAN PORT CITIES ENHANCE SOCIAL INNOVATION?

The Conference is arranged by the Worldwide Network on Port Cities AIVP, the City of Rotterdam and the leading Port of Rotterdam and will bring together port authorities, city mayors, professionals from different disciplines, including architects, engineers, planners, sociologists, etc, researchers and businesses.
