Roudaina held her lecture titled 'Recent UN and EU Sustainable Development Policies (Post 2015): What Challenges for City Planning and Governance' at the conference Europe at a Cross-roads arranged in London by the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) 20-22 July 2016.

The conference shed light on the challenges facing sustainability in different development fields and geographical areas including topics like environment, sustainable development in the energy sector, poverty alleviation, sustainable productivity growth, implementation of health care strategies and the new role of smart data. Migration, security and peace were placed in focus as important challenges requiring inclusive strategies. Emphasis was placed on strategies in the different fields and research needing to work towards meeting the UN Sustainability Goals.
