Harbor-front redevelopment and coastal management. Lecture at AUS,19th April

A holistic approach to coastal management is greatly important. Roudaina held her lecture "Harbor-front redevelopment and coastal management: Working towards more thriving cities and regions" on the 19th of April at the American University of Sharjah where she talked about experiences from North Europe as inspiration to cities in the United Arab Emirates.

She highlighted some important conculsions from the 15th World Conference on port Cities, which was held in Rotterdam last November and in which she chaired important sessions. Roudaina appreciated the opportunity to share her experiences and thoughts with the Dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Design, Dr. Varkki Pallathucheril, the Head of Master of Urban Planning, Dr. Rafael Pizarro, the curious students and other invited professionals. She enjoyed the subsequent inspiring debate about coastal management in the Emirates.
